Kenwood Road Access Management Study and Roadway Improvement
TEC carried out a study of the potential improvements and modifications to driveways along Kenwood Road. The study was designed to enhance accessibility and reduce traffic congestion in the area from I-71 to Montgomery Road (approximately 1,950 feet). The project team assembled field data to determine the issues and subsequently provided detailed recommendations to Sycamore Township. In addition, we developed a project website to disseminate information to the public. TEC prepared construction plans for short-term improvements as discussed in the access management analyzer. Improvements included driveway reconstruction, a landscaped center median, pavement repair and replacement, curb and gutter additions, and new signing and pavement markings.
