Cincinnati DMS Phase I & II

TEC completed the design and installation of Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) on Cincinnati and ODOT fiber to address congestion from two downtown sports arenas and entertainment district at The Banks.  Phase I consisted of installation of two Freeway Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) on SB 1-75 and I-71. Phase II involved installation of four additional signs over Second and Third Streets in downtown Cincinnati and over East US 50 and West US 50. These four signs will interface with a Parking Management System to direct motorists to available spaces managed by the City of Cincinnati and Hamilton County. LED signage at the entrance of the parking facility and various levels of the Central Riverfront Garage will display the number of available parking spaces and direct motorists to those open spaces using LED directional indicators. This LED technology has been successfully utilized in airports.
