Licking County Asset Inventory
In 2015, TEC continued work on the Licking County GIS and inventory project. We performed and coordinated field data collection for an asset inventory project for county-maintained roads within Licking County, Ohio. This included collecting various attributes for signs, hazards, curves, no passing zones, pavement markings and guardrails within the County. In addition, TEC developed a Microsoft Access database for the client to store the data with a link to the client’s GIS mapping system. TEC also imported the County’s crash history for analysis related to County-wide hot spots. This inventory method was tailored to suit the needs of the county and it has provided them with an important tool to track and plan for maintenance and replacement of assets in years to come.
