Hamilton County Asset Management (PID 96361)

TEC was selected by Hamilton County Engineer’s Office to implement an asset inventory project involving 515 miles within Hamilton County. The assets that were studied include hazards, ball bank, guardrails, no-passing zones, curbs, retaining walls, pavement markings and signals. Detailed information was collected for each asset including the geographic location which was plotted using GIS software. A database was created using Microsoft Access which provides a user-friendly method to update and view data. Aside from the modules created for asset collection, TEC also developed additional modules to be populated by Hamilton County personnel. The added modules include: a bridge module, traffic impact study module, traffic count module, and a sign module. Customized reports were created to view the sign and guardrail maintenance as well as various hazard types. The modules were also developed with filter capabilities which make it easier for the user to search for reports and view specifics, based on preference.
