Fifth Street Bridge Lighting

TEC provided lighting design services for the Fifth Street Bridge over the Great Miami River in the City of Dayton. The project scope consisted of inspection of existing lighting circuits (condition, capacity, accessibility), preliminary design and recommendations, voltage drop calculations and service recommendations, utility coordination, plan specification and design, shop drawing review, and construction inspection. TEC evaluated several varieties of light types and configurations and ultimately chose color-changing LED lighting on the bridge arches. TEC was also retained by the City of Dayton to design the underpass lighting for US Route 35.
