SR 4 and I-275 Interchange Operations Study

TEC conducted an Interchange Operations Study (IOS) for the lane addition project to southbound SR-4 at I-275. We provided existing traffic counts to ODOT and requested certified traffic volumes for the intersections of SR-4 & I-275 WB Ramp, SR-4 & I-275 EB Ramp, and SR-4 & Crescentville as well as mainline and ramp volumes for I-275. Upon receiving the certified traffic volumes TEC performed capacity analysis for each intersection, ramp, merge/diverge, and mainline segment within the study area. This was performed utilizing HCS software as well as delay balancing and constraint analysis techniques. A final report was prepared and accepted by ODOT.
